The application for the Energy Assistance Program is called the Minnesota Energy Programs Application. Applications are NOT accepted from June 1 to September 30.
Helpful steps to apply for Energy Assistance:
1. Click the language choice, open and print the application.
2. Follow the instructions on pages 5-6 to fill in the application.
3. Read the Rights and Responsibilities (pp. 7-8).
4. Sign and date the application on the bottom of the last page.
5. Include the most recent copy of your heating and electric bills.
6. Address your own envelope using the local energy assistance provider address in your area. To find your local energy assistance provider, click here.
7. Add postage and mail the application with copies of income documentation and energy bills.

Using the Active Application (you can fill this out using your computer):

3. Print pages 1-4 of the completed application and then sign and date it on page 4.
